Welcome to Melody and Motion Music Together.
The following policies and procedures have been put in place to provide accessible, safe classes for you and your children. Please help to make our classes run efficiently by adhering to the following guidelines.
Indoor class safety precautions:
We ask that all adults please remove shoes when attending class. If you would like to bring soft indoor shoes for yourself or your child, that is acceptable. We make this request for two reasons 1). to keep the space as clean as possible, and 2). to prevent accidental injury when we are up and doing large movement activities. Each location provides carpets and/or mats to sit on; however, families may bring a blanket large enough for their entire family to sit on if they choose. We highly recommend all families in the Babies Only class bring a baby blanket. Families may also bring instruments from home or use the instruments provided by Melody and Motion. All instruments are cleaned regularly.
Before you leave home: Please do a quick self-assessment and stay home if you or anyone living in your home is showing any one of these symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, other respiratory symptoms, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. Please stay home and schedule a makeup if you or anyone you’ve been in close contact with has been exposed to COVID-19.
Maximum of 12 families per class.
Class is 45 minutes.
Requirement for Classes: At checkout, families will be required to agree to our Policies and Procedures.
You are responsible for ensuring that any adult who brings your child has read and understood the policies, procedures, and waiver before attending the class! Our teachers will not have time to instruct an adult who has not been fully informed of these agreements.
Refunds/Credits:
Tuition, minus any registration fees and materials fees ($75 for one child, $100 for two or more children), is refundable up to seven days before the start of class. NO tuition refunds or credits will be given after the first day of class. No refunds will be given for missed classes.
In the event of a natural disaster, inclement weather, or community crisis requiring the cancellation of classes, we will make every attempt to offer additional classes, semester extensions, or reasonable alternatives. There will be no refunds offered if classes need to be cancelled due to local community shutdowns/ quarantines. Cancellations due to natural disaster, inclement weather, or community crisis for the faith-inclusive classes at St. Mary's will be offered at the availability of the Music Ministry and are not guaranteed.
We are not able to offer refunds or credits for classes that are cancelled for reasons beyond our control.
If a family becomes unable to attend because they are ill due to COVID- 19, RSV, Flu, or any other illness, missed classes can be made up during the current session. Make-ups must be scheduled in advance. There will be no refunds or credits offered for individual missed classes.
Attendance: Please attempt to arrive 5 minutes before the beginning of your class. We will make every effort to begin and end classes on time.
Food In Class: Due to the possibility of allergies among class participants, and the choking risk present for children who may be snacking during our movement activities, please refrain from bringing food to class or eating snacks during class. It is best if all snacks are left in your vehicle. Water is, of course, allowed, but please keep bottles out of sight and out of the reach of other class participants. Many sippy cups look similar, and children love to try them all.
Make up policy: All children may attend makeup classes during the session, space permitting. Make-up classes must be taken within the same session and scheduled in advance by signing up using our Make-up Class Scheduler on our website. There is no limit on the number of make-ups you may schedule during a session.
Health Policy: We care about your family's health & the health of our teachers. This is why we sanitize all used classroom instruments after every class and practice safe distancing and local guidelines. If you or your child has had a fever or other signs of a contagious illness within the past 24 hours, please do not come to an in-person class. Use common sense if you are not sure, stay home & schedule a make up class instead.
Inclement weather and holiday closures: Please Note: Melody and Motion Music Together does NOT follow closures of the public school holidays or holiday breaks. If we are NOT holding class, it will be posted on the front page of our website and our Facebook pages, otherwise assume class is being held. We also provide a calendar on our website for your reference. You can check those online resources listed, or send a txt to 973-650-0927 for confirmation.
Valuables: Please leave valuables at home. Melody and Motion, Music Together®, LLC., may not be held responsible for the loss or destruction of valuables.
Visiting guests: If space permits, you may bring adult family members, including grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, etc.! Please check in advance before bringing visiting children. Guests are encouraged to fully participate as active members of the class.
Media Release: From time to time, photos or videos may be taken during class and may be used for the purposes of promoting our classes on our website, fliers and/or Facebook and Instagram pages. By agreeing to these terms, you agree to have you and/or your child's photo taken and used for such purposes. You may opt out of this at any time by notifying Miss Ruth at [email protected]. Pictures will also be posted in the private family Facebook page. These pictures are for building a community. Do not share any photos from this page that contain other families and children without the express consent of that family. Thank you for helping us protect everyone's privacy.
